TALKING PICTURES WITH PUGS AND CROWS

On April 25, 2013 Barking Sphinx Performance Society produced a workshop and performance with the young ensemble Pugs and Crows. The workshop was led by Ron Samworth and Dylan van der Schyff, both original members of the established improvising group Talking Pictures.

The workshop took place in the afternoon at the Vancouver Community College auditorium. The focus was on developing strategies for integrating ensemble improvisation with composition—an area in which Ron and Dylan have considerable experience. A number of audience members were present for the workshop and some some interesting discussion took place during the process.
